about the captain

john jelovich

JOHN HAS been fishing the waters of Florida for over 40 years. HE Started in the backcountry, THEN started venturing offshore about 10 years back. Fishing is his passion. He went to school, got HIS Captain’s license, and decided to start this business so that HE could share HIS passion with others. There is nothing like the waters offshore.

offshore charter faq

Depending on the type of charter you choose, you could see different
types of fish.

For example, shorter charters will see:
Lane snapper, porgy, mangrove snapper, vermilion snapper,
red grouper, barracuda, king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, cobia,
amberjack, gag grouper, yellowtail snapper, red snapper, and more.

Longer charters will see:
Large red grouper, mangrove snapper, lane snapper, vermilion, yellowtails,
triggerfish, various jack species, porgies, African pompano, large amberjack,
blackfin tuna, cobia, wahoo, red snapper, gag grouper, scamp grouper,
yellowtail snapper, and more.

It all depends on what kind of angler you are. For our more experienced anglers,
we suggest our 8 or 10-hour charters. These are full-day charters, so it’s best
if you are used to being on a boat, offshore, for extended periods of time.

If you’re new to offshore fishing, we suggest our 4 or 6-hour charters. These
shorter charters are a great way to get used to fishing offshore. If you love it,
you can always come back for a longer charter!

*Custom charters are available upon request. Please call 941-525-2906
for more information.
